Pete, our backhoe driver, expertly dug all of the foundation trenches and was able to move a tree that we had been worrying about.
Greg, Steve, and Tony, who built the foundation forms, make sure that the concrete fills all the cavities.
I don't know who invented the concrete pump. It should be worth some kind of a special recognition, like the cotton gin. It is still hard, dirty work. Slip-ups and mistakes are not allowed at this point.
The building inspector reviews work on a daily basis.

On the 19th working day after demolition begins, the foundation is in, the floor is framed and covered, and we are ready for walls.

A special thanks to Mr. Henry Moore for allowing me to use his bedroom window for this picture.
