Arizona, They Youngest State, 1913, pp463 (John Hoe Morehead), In 899 he married Miss Lucy merritt, a native of Wisconsin and a daughter of Robert and Elizabeth merritt who were also born in that sate. her parents made their home there until the early 1800's when they went to Colorado, settling in Pueblo, whence later they came to Globe. Mrs. merritt is well known in church and is also a lodge worker, holding memership in various societies. She owns a great deal of real estate in Globe. Mr. and Mrs. merritt have two children, Lucy, now Mrs. Morehead and Robert, in republican politics in Globe
